How To Pick The Right Bracelet and Finish.

  1. Do you typically wear a watch? If so, what finish is that watch?

If you answered no to question 1, move on to question 2!

First question is, do you wear a watch? The easiest way for me to help a client choose what bracelet and finish they should go with, is by asking them to send me a picture of their main (or most worn) watch. Just by the watch alone, it is easy to tell if they should go with a bracelet that is more discreet and formal, or with a bracelet that is more bold and daring. Let’s say you like to wear a 48mm Breitling. I wouldn’t recommend the 4mm bracelets, because the styles wouldn’t match well. I’d go with something that is a minimum of 6-8mm in bead size. Our Double Stack, 8mm, and Simple bracelets work much better in that case. But if you’re wearing a smaller and more elegant Omega, or even a Patek, then I would recommend something with a smaller footprint as well, like our Macramé, Curve, or 3 Bead bracelets.

As a side note, the pictures that display the watch and bracelet on the same side, are just for that, picture. I typically don’t wear or recommend wearing your bracelet and watch on the same wrist, unless the bracelet accents it perfectly, doesn’t add a lot of bulk, AND is cloth. Most of the time I’d recommend wearing your bracelets on your other wrist to create a more balanced outfit.

On to the finish. Is your watch gold? Stainless steel? Does it wear a strap or bracelet?

All of these are also factors to consider. On the surface it might seem simple. Gold watch so gold bracelets? Unfortunately, not always so simple! I’ve had plenty of clients show me their stainless steel/gold Rolex Datejusts, and then you’ve got to decipher which direction to go from there! Although to be honest, my first thought at that point is typically “stacking” We’ve got bracelets that make great for stacking on top of each other, so that even a watch with multiple finishes, doesn’t leave your other wrist feeling left out of the part. So yes, try and match your watch finish, to the bracelet finish, and when in doubt, stack it! And don’t worry, even though you might think that our 6mm bracelets might be a bit too much to stack, we’ve got plenty more bracelets coming that will stack perfectly compared to even the most elegant of watches! We’ve even got our Color Me collection to match that gorgeous new strap you put on your watch as well!

  1. What style of clothing do you generally wear? Are you more of a suit and tie guy? Are you more skinny jeans and long tee? Are you more of a Jordans and hoodie type? Or are you a crock and jorts kinda guy??

We’ve got bracelets to fit ALMOST any style...

Suit and tie? Try to shoot for something slimmer, smaller bead size, and don’t be afraid of going a bit flashy with the studs. Skinny jeans and long tee? Stack, stack, stack. Any bead sizes. Stack stack stack. Just don’t go too flashy. Cloth bracelets are your friend.

Jordans and Hoody? Simple Beaded bracelets. Match your current chain, watch, or other jewelry finishes. Don’t go too small on the bead size, unless your stacking. Don’t stack too much though, not your style. I like to go with one beaded and one cloth bracelet. One matches the chain and watch, the other matches the color of my outfit. Feel free to also stack more colors and finishes. If your wearing a gold chain, black shoes, black jeans, and black hoodie then Simple Royal Gold, Simple Midnight black, Color Me Collection Gold and Black.

  1. What finish is the rest of your jewelry?

This one is simple, so I’ll keep it that way. We’ve got 4 different finishes, because that’s typically how many metal finishes you run into when choosing jewelry. For gold chains, our Royal Gold and Midnight Black bracelets work great. For white gold, platinum, or even sterling silver, our Radiant Silver and Midnight Black bracelets are perfect. For the rose gold jewelry lovers, obviously our Rose Gold collection works great, but also don’t disregard the Midnight Black collections as they work just as well. Because there doesn’t exist a lot of black jewelry, our Midnight Black collection exists to compliment almost every other kind of finish.
